Aliases, AKA,, clan names, forum names what\'s the story?

I admitted am not what you would call a frequent online player of late and granted my Total War experience only began 7 months ago. Nonetheless, I have always been curious why some of the names I see in the foyer are not the names they use to post here. I'm sure they are the minority in the community along with those who play under many names. I can only imagine the fun of playing someone who says they are 'so and so' in disguise. If one is going to all the trouble to deceive someone why not make the ruse complete by remaining anonymous to all you encounter in the foyer.

I usually use Kenchi name although I have one undercover name - which most of my 'm8s' know about. It's good to be undercover sometimes, dont have to talk to anyone or anything... Well, in my case, I play online as Bachus Fukushima (MI/WE) and I was Bachus So (STW). The reason my name here is Dionysus is that I wanted to be Dionysus online, but for some stupid ass reason, EA says the name "Dionysus" contains profanity. [go and try to sign up as Dionysus]. Its ok to be 666KillJaps, but Dionysus is profane. Ok. . Thats what I have come to expect from EA .

I even tried D10nysus...still profane. So I settled for Bachus.

I am currently the only member of The Illuminated Seers of Bavaria and the only member of Rebels & Ronin clans. I am a Tenki too, at least when Tetsu and Nori are around http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif.

Is that information really all that interesting to anyone? I kinda doubt it, but there ya go-- first entry on your community roster.

Im a little hesitant to release any MTW names I may or may not play under, for fear that some dickless jerkoff (?) steals my name just to piss me off. And as for my email, I'm not giving it out after that BS w/ viruses and whatnot.

Sheesh, what is the world coming to.

I can understand the email/link issue but why would you not want be to counted among the ranks of Total War players worldwide? I am not asking you to divulge your darkest secrets here just offering you the opportunity to either sound off for your clan or yourself.

I personal use the same name online like i post at this forum....and in our clan we dont use prefixes in front of our names.

we dont need to hype our names, im sure all our clanmembers are wellknown.
