During the last few minutes, I 've been unable to answer in the engineering or HTW forum, while I was able to only a few hours ago.
What happened ? Is there a posts/day limit, or something like that ? Is that a new rule, or an old one that I've misread ?

It happened to you too! Look under your name!
"Junior Patrons".
That's not right, it should say "Patron", and you should be a "Junior Member", just like I was... I think Jr. Member's got somethin' screwed with their accounts today, because everything else seems normal. We can only do as much as Junior Patrons now. We'll have to wait and see what the Moderators say:\

There have always been restrictions. It is only when the forums were down and put up on a new server were we all able to do what we wanted. The moderators have restored the forums back to what it was before. In my opinion, NOOOOOOOO!!!

But you could answer/comment in existing threads...

Well, IMHO, this is totally silly. I mean, why am I allowed to post here and not in the mod forum ? I signed up in this forum mostly for the mod part (I'm playing HTW and BKB super Mod) and I can't post anything there. Yay !

Are you sure ? I'm not allowed to ...
In the old forum it was possible to answer - in fact it was the only part of this forum i posted in. ~:mecry: Well i'll have to make heavy use of mails to continue working on the XVI-XVII mod.

Steady, Lads. I'm working with Admin to see if we've got a 'glitch' somewhere.
This is how it's supposed to work (from the stickied "New? Read this First" thread:
"Junior Patron
Once you have activated your account, you will have a Junior Patron status. Being a Junior Patron when signing up serves to help you acclimate to the Guild and gives the Guild staff an opportunity to meet you. You can read all posts in any forum but you have some posting restrictions:
1) Entrance Hall forum: you can start new topics/polls or reply to existing topics/polls.
2) Apothecary forum: you can only reply to existing topics.
3) Dungeon - Alchemist lab forum: you can only reply to existing topics.
4) Story/PBM - Mead Hall forum: you can only reply to existing topics.
5) You are restricted from posting in all other forums. "
Meanwhile, we're working on getting a batch of Junior Patrons moved up this weekend. Thanks for your patience and understanding while we all adjust to this new forum software.

We can now only post in the Alchemist Lab, I believe...:\
Ah well, now some people will be confused about my posts in there:p
At least I gave the one guy I was talkin' to my Email already *whew!*
Just have to do this the hard way... I suppose... *Lol* (note, this is quickreply, so I can't use the cool smilies I'd insert at several parts of this post:D)
Hello,
There are 7 default usergroups and 12 imported from Ikonboard. More than required, so I swapped and deleted some. Two things happened there:
-Junior Patrons were set to the normal system of permissions.
-I made a mistake when setting the custom permissions for some forums (there are a few), sorry.
Title. The board has a default system of labelling usergroups. It's confusing the one we use.
Junior Patrons can also post in the Multiplayer forums.

I noticed some Junior Patrons were able to become Junior Members after the new boards were up. I was under the impression that this was done on purpose, but if I'm wrong, we're now being put back to Junior Patrons, and will have to wait, once more, to become Junior Members again? Also, why, on those members who were switched back from Junior Members to Junior Patrons, does it say "Junior Patrons" (note the 'S' on the end) under our names, unlike the regular "Junior Patron"
Anyway, I was a Junior Member by default when I got back on after the upgrade, but now I've been booted back, so I now won't be able to post again as a junior member until I rerecieve the title?
Rather odd and unfortunate, but oh well:\ Thanks for the information, nonetheless!

No, Junior Members were not demoted to Junior Patrons. It was just that the default vbulletin titlesystem called them Junior Members, but they never were. Confusing, isn't it?
It is true that the Junior Patrons permissions were a bit more relaxed the past few days. Setting up the basics was more important: make sure people can read and post.

Ah, it all makes sense now. Both of those things confused me. I figured I should have been a JP, but it said I was a JM, and I had their privilages, which made it seem more correct.
Also, I read in some random post (which I think has been edited) about the new system that "all Junior Patrons that moved over from the old forums have been promoted to Junior members". Which made things very confusing...
Thanks for clearing that up!

I'm one of the moderators and it took me a few days to get permission to log on to the forum... so we are not doing it to annoy the patrons... we are the patrons as well.
Just happey that TosaInu had a backup forum as the other one sank like the Titanic.
