2) Gladiator
3) Braveheart
4) 13th Warrior
5) Star Wars Trilogy
6) Pulp Fiction
7) Last of the Mohicans
8) Spawn/Judgment Night
9) Gangs of New York

I really like good soundtracks and have a decent collection. Here is my shot at a top 10 (in order):
1) The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
2) Star Wars (the first one, later entitled "A New Hope")
3) Gettysburg
4) Raiders of the Lost Ark
5) The Empire Strikes Back
6) Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan
7) Glory
8) Patton
9) Jaws
10) Rocky
I'd have to say that the first two (LotR & Star Wars) are perhaps as near perfect soundtracks that you can get. As soundtracks they excel, but also as simply music, there is hardly a track I'd even consider skipping. Many soundtracks have a great theme or two and the rest of the "music" seems to be almost random notes to match the movie, but not the first two soundtracks on my list.
I've a sneaking suspicion I'm missing a few soundtracks, but there you have my list as it stands right now.

Hoooh, this is a challenge! OK, let me see if I get them all together…
1) Blade Runner, Vangelis
2) Cowboy Bebop (Anime, but still a marvelous soundtrack!)
3) Star Wars Trilogy (And most of the John Williams stuff)
4) Gladiator
5) Odyssey 2001
6) 1492 Conquest of Paradise, Vangelis
7) Tiger and Dragon
8) Last Samurai
9) Pulp Fiction
10) Blade
Also a worthy soundtrack, yet it does not fit here; Fallout CRPG soundtrack, one of the greatest in-game soundtracks I’ve ever heard!
Am I missing anything!?! 100 %! ~

Well as far as traditional movie soundtracks go, LOTR trilogy wins hands down, and after that the original Star Wars trilogy. And while I'm not sure if it's a Sound track per se, Almost Famous would come in first, because it has pretty much all of my favorite bands in there somewhere. (Zeppelin, Skynyrd, Allman Bros., Who), etc. Not to mention the sweet original music.

Star Wars.
All of them, I won't bother you with my top-five. Even for the Phantom Menace it was its one redeeming factor.
House of the Spirits was beautiful as well.

On Any Sunday
Robin Hood (1938)
Patton
It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World
Hair (1980)

On Any Sunday is my favorite. Unfortunately, like many soundtracks of the era (1971), it is very short--less than 30 minutes.

Excalibur.
