This may be considerd a spam post, if so i apologise but does anyone else find it has been really quiet round here since we moved to the new boards? I would have thought that the place would have a bit of a buzz (rather than the Echo) with the impending release of Rome: Total War.

It IS quieter, but maybe its because its holiday season (in western Europe and the USA at least)?

I agree - it's really peak holiday season in August (the locations of my employer in some European countries virtually have closed down for several weeks).

Also traffic might just catch up a bit slowly after the board has been down for several days and was kind of improvised for some additional days (especially in the Tavern that seems to be the case).

Just take a look at the users browsing the forum, before it was always 40-50 now it is around 20-30. However, look at all the guests.

I guess that many noted the forum was down, didnt use temp forum and hasnt come home for vacation to check it. Also the password retrieval woulc cause some disturbance. But eventually in a week to two it will be back, mark my prediction!

It IS quiter, and especialyl at the tavern we are missing some of our regulars, but hopefully they will return before too long!

Been coming to .Org since 2000; August is always slow. Plus, I think many of our regulars haven't made the password transition yet (as noted), and merely lurk as guests.

If any of those guys are reading this:

1) check your "bulk mail" or "junk mail" boxes; several ISP's are identifying email from the Guild as spam - so you may never see it, or delete it without ever seeing it.
2) re-click the "reset password" link again.

If all that fails, email me jim@jimcee.com and we'll get you hooked up manually (please put TW or Total War in the subject, so I don't ignore you).

Yeah it is quieter on the month of my birthday (Thats what I call august) lets see 13 more days less than 2 weeks and I go on another vacation to Gettysburg YAY!
