Well gents,

Hurricane Charley's just about here. It's heading straight for Tampa like a stud bull heading for a cow in estrus. But there's good news...it seems all the tele-marketers of the world still want to harass me with inane offers for goods and services that'll change my life :phonecall:

Been getting ready for the party all morning, gonna sit around the campfire tonight when the doo-doo really starts hitting the fan ~

Wish me, TK and all the other Tampa Bay area forum members good luck...looks like we'll need it.

BTW, don't let RTW get released until we get our electric power back...OK ~:p

Hope you all will be save and none of your family/friends (and property?) will take damage.

Take care

Ser Clegane

P.S.: These days I gain appreciate that where I live we already call it a natural desaster when it rains all day, we have temperatures above 35°C, we have >5 cm of snow, or the wind is strong enough to knock over a flower pot
(I currently have a colleague from Shanghai here who told me that they currently have typhoons hitting her hometown)

If you looked outside right now you'd be hard-pressed to understand all the commotion. It's the proverbial calm before the storm. I was awoken this morning at 5:00a.m. when an outer band passed through with measly 20-30mph winds. It lasted for 10-15 minutes, then all got quiet again.

In that short span though the neighbor's Sweet Gum tree dropped an good sized branch across the drive. We've been soooo wet all summer that the trees are in bad shape, the ground soaked... it's gonna be a mess!

Ah well, at least the satellite tele-marketers are still willing to give me a system "for Free", and there are plenty of people willing to "give" me a new mortgage ~;)

You know what would be really refreshing? If my home-owners Insurance company called me up as passionately as these pests to offer to double my wind-damage coverage - lol. Now THAT is a call I'd like to get today!

Hey good luck man. I just read that Bonnie's already killed 3 in North Carolina, so be careful.

Anyone else think it's strange that the hurricane has hit on Friday the 13th? ~

And that it went from a catagory 2 to a catagory 4 before it hit?
Weird...
