Have I got this right? If so, it's the end of an era...

Well he had to hes under investigation for corny jokes and if sentenced will be forced to watch peewee herman 3 hours a day for a year. This way he keeps a low profile and alsoe gets a chance to dodge this horrific sentence

Hehehe, I'll do anything to avoid having to watch PeeWee Herman.

Geez, BKS, we made the switch at the end of June/beginning of July. Nothing gets by you...it may take you a few years, but nothing gets by you.~;) Just kidding there ol' chum!

I opened the doors of the EH back in October of 2002 as its first moderator and became real attached to it in the subsequent 18 months. Unfortunately as May/June rolled around, the EH got very, very busy and my home situation changed to the point where I could not devote the necessary time to the forum without neglecting things in my personal life...and I was doing too much neglecting. Therefore I asked Tosa for a quieter forum to moderate. There just so happened to be an opening in the Monastery so I took it. I also figured the history whizzes there might actually teach me a thing or two - and they have. So I let go of the EH. It was weird at first, but I'm adapting. My only disappointment so far is that I had hoped to spend a little more time in the EH than I've been able to so far. Fortunately, the noble Kukri returned from his leave of absence, the always cool Wonder from Downunder, Pape, decided to return to the staff and finally, there is a wonderful core of Org veterans here to greet the new members, extend a ~ to them, and help them with their issues. You folks are the best!~

Well, I won't put my foot in it and say that no-one will moderate the EH as well as Greg... I know it won't be true!

Hail Gregoshi,

Don't worry KukriKhan is still at the reins, just now you have the sarcastic Aussie to watch out for [smack... must behave it is the EH not the Tavern]... whoops I mean the model of Far Eastern politeness that our very friendly Taiwanese Moderator brings to the EH.

And if you really miss him go to the Monastery and be very polite, it is supposed to be the most Library like environment in here.

The end of an era ~:mecry:

Sounds weird, but one thing that always impressed me about the .org was how each new poster got the welcoming ~ , a string of puns, corny jokes and assorted polite drivel to launch their habitation of the forums.

Enjoy the Monastery ~

If that is the "history" forum your scope/opportunity for wordplay has increased by several orders of magnitude ~:)

end of an era indeed, is greg the longest serving mod for one place?
