Be sure to read the readme. The Carthage AI sux though. And it sure is a pain to bring those elaphants down. Anyway I discovered something new I havent seen or read yet. My general did a last glorious charge on the armoured elaphants breaking the enemy but being killed in the proces (the only one in his group, what are the chances? ~ ). Anyway I got a message that due to this HEROIC death the prestige of my family was increased.
So finally I have found a use for the idiotic, 11-toed, moonbeamdancer heirs! ~:joker:
edit: I have slight bug with the poeni infantry: I can't see their spears! Does anyone else have that bug?

Wouldn't you just need to back up the old pak file, then copy 'n paste it back in?

Arrrgghh my cowardly Legions are running away!!!! ~
Cowards the lot of them.
Those arent Roman Legionaires, those are little girls dressed in red ~
The demo seems balanced quite hevily towards the Carthagenians. As the Pheoni spearmen managed to break my Principes without any support ~

Dude, uninstall and reinstall (making sure all files are deleted before reinstalling)... It can't take more than 5 mins...

Or install the demo twice, then mod one so you can play the Romans.

Baaaah, its virtually impossible to win this battle as the Romans ~ my legionaires run away after about a minute of contact with the enemy, even when I take them in the flank, WTF is up with those Pheoni Spearmen, they must be Spartans in disguise ~
Hell even my Triarii are running away like little girls ~

Looks like the historical battles are made in a way that the player can hardly lose - as they were in MTW (all MTW historical battles seemed quite easy to me).

The difference here is that you can play both sides
Hello,
I've played both the Hannibal and the Romans, thanks for the mod Isopostolos (a rollback could be nice). Advice off, difficult level and to make it even more of a challenge: general restricted view.

Thanks Barkhorn, your help comes appreciated. It seems that the Carthies have extremely high valour, making it very hard to beat them with the Romans. I seem to lose at least half of my army every time I play. And Hannibal seems unkillable. I only managed to let him run away. ~:(

I've beat the cathagenians four times, killed Hannibal two times.
Beat them at east, 2*medium, 1*hard

I would have expected this battle to be geared towards the Carthies.
Historically the Roman army was very inexperienced, made up mostly of new recruits. Their commander wasn't very good either, and they had also just woken up and not eaten then they crossed the freezing cold river to reach the carthies.
As such I would expect them to be harder to win with. After all most of Hannibal's troops were experienced veterans from the previous campaigns in Spain.
