jeeeeeeeeessssssss a guy that spams org comes in the room saying hes new. he dont like it when i say he not new. most that know me know i play alot in other names looking for these people. he is here more than he says he is.
he host a great big hill with 2500k each, knowing u wont even get to the bottom off it b4 ur shot to crap. i wont say his full name mi......... but ffs give it a rest.

I say sorry, didn't know that I dont play online much so I hardly know any of the maps,
ok, I'll change the map... so I look for a map which has a image of a flat area on it,I pick it,then he starts whining for 10 minutes Im not a newbie and he doesn't want to play anymore, I then get annoying meesages from both him and a member of the angel clan (as usual) and I took off, playing with a normal person.
I can see what ye mean now by people getting scared off from playing online.
I'll be more then happy to play online with normal people but some toddlers who can only whine and after 10 minutes still not play...it get's boring.
I said 5 times that I was new AT ONLINE PLAYING...retard.

please note ,I dont know any of the maps...I AM a newbie when it comes to online games of STW...and furthermore it was a friendly game I had set up (as always), and even then, what IS the problem with everyone when I say I'm a newbie and ask if they can give me some tips, they always say Youre not a newbie ! dont lie! Im not going to play with you, you're not a newbie! Grr...
I'll make a friends list of people with who I want to play, you're one of 'em youssof Toda (honorable behaviour on the field of battle).

How can new clans be created and how can old clans be expanded if people keep decepting others with new names and claiming to be new? This will lead to the downfall of all clans in the future and the community will probably be destroyed with it.

my best online game was against this guy (i forget his alias) i moved all my cavalry round behind him as he engaged my samurai and stuff, my cavalry units attack from his rear, then a bit later, his army weaker i get the last of my units*mostly yari ashigaru and some ysam* and marched em in he tried to run but my cavalry chopped him up...im saying this cause hopefully ill be playing someone online in a few mins... i hope todays competition is a little more challenging ^_^

Everyone seems to ignore the fact that I AM in fact new...I'm a newbie when it comes to playing STW online!
I haven't changed my alias from the beginning and online I've been Dreadknight for as long as I play online (just 3 weeks now, with some 5 games on my name).
anyway, you may close this, this can only lead to flaming or senseless whining again about people scaring others away, and yes I posted that too, but just as a little joke.

HMMMMMMMM, STW - is by far the fairest online battle game that exists to date.
The bickering has always been, patience shall endure. True newbies should pay attention. Older players should offer their skills to improve the quality of play. Is simple really, if we help the newbies the sight will grow again. We don't will die sooner than later.

i understnad ur frustration maca, i saw guys doin this but where is the real prob?
let them do this if they want, and if they get player who join such games, well....let them play thas theyr choice.
if i see guys who host maps/koku i dont like, i just dont join in, and if it was a friendly game....than it is maybe a challange or even a fun game....dunno wich map it was....

Agree with Koc. I think Maca's getting wound up cos he knows he lost the argument.
All Mith has done is looked around the community a lot, aside from his shameless posts he may have picked up a handful of knowledge about tactics from the board, but really this makes no comparison to actual experience in playing. A good foundation tho!
I don't think Mith is scaring newbies off either, there are others doing that online, those that swear and such in private.
They're the ones that ruin the community.
As for the breaking up of clans. Tank's absolutely right, and yes I know my namelist aint ecactly short and yes maybe I did play newbie once or twice but that's all in the past for me now. I don't have time to mess about now I got a full-time job.
I don't think Mith falls under this "multi-name" category.
And like Koc said, if you don't like a game don't join it. What actually made you want to play Mith anyway Maca? If not the game why else? Besides it was friendly it would mean nothing if you lost. Then you could say to Mith "Oh you might wanna change map to a much fairer one." Or just let Mith experiment until he finds a map he thinks is fair, or maybe Mith can attack on the games.... otherwise whats the point in any of the maps if most of them are too hilly.
Mapmakers would have a very boring job if they could only add small hills.

It seems to me that some of the map screenshots can be misleading,what may look like a nice rolling plain can in fact have a campers hill at one end!
More focus on the overall layout of the map should be applied in some cases,although I appreciate a screenshot has its limitations.
Is it possible to add a short description of the map as I have seen for the standard maps?
Theres so many maps now that incidents like this have and will continue to flare up it seems.Its so hard to keep track of all these maps eh...but good fun too!!!

I'll play ya Mith. I'm a newb also. I've been playing ever since the server got fixed like 2 weeks ago. I don't know many maps, and am not all that good, but I still genuinely ask people for help, and a lot of the time they give it to me. They realize I'm a newb and might ask me how long i've played, and then after the 'friendly' battle we talk about it in the chat room, where I gain a lot of knowledge about where I messed up and how to get better. And lots of them are more nice about it than I would think they would be. So don't let people get to you, I see some online dicks, and I stay away from them. If you ever see me (Taki Takahashi) online, then we can play a game. (NOTE: to all those that this post applied to, don't talk to me online, as I don't like people who take this for more than a very very fun game).

miths right full stop, and another thing why is a map with big hills on it so unfair and wrong?....do you people WANT a flat boring bland map handed to you on a silver platter? i mean isnt the big hills and rolling scenery what make shoggy worth playing? and competetive or friendly makes no difference, if you lost you lost, learn from the past and come back next time better prepared, the only sound tactic to win wars is experience and practice, the more you have, the more confident you'll be with your skills, and its never been denied that a confident player can make his opponent fumble up a bit on the feild of battle....to cut a long story short....

Of that I am a prime example. Having had only 3 games in about 6 months I would class myself as a newbie. Ok sometimes there is a bit of experience to fall back on, but a newbie all the same.
