FOrmation orders cancel previous orders. A downgrade?

Disclaimer: I love the demo. RTW will be great, but..

did anyone else notice that when you change the formation of a charging or moving unit, they simply stop?. It seems like the new order cancels the old one. Same with rotating troops.

In MTW, they would continue what they were doing and that was pretty nifty (set your cav on loose and as they approach enemy archers, change to close formation for the kill was a common tactic for me).

I noticed that as well when I was moving my Triarii around and getting them in loose formation because they were getting pelted by the gauls.

Changing formations on the fly was really neat, and I used it often. It would be nice to have it back again.

Yes, this has really annoyed me. Add this to the pile of features and options that have been removed from the game.

a large portion of the controls have been dissed; the meat of the game, in its place a lot of camera options to view the desert. I expected more control features, able to do more things on the battle field, not fewer.
