I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet or not, but the fanfare chorus music that plays after you have won the battle in the RTW demo is recycled from MTW.

It's the same fanfare music that plays in MTW, right after you successfully complete a campaign--you know--when they show the still picture of the king and his court of whatever faction you were playing as.

I'm kind of surprised that they would use the same stuff from a previous TW game since the TW series have always been known for highly original and very memorable music.

Although I liked the demo, I was pretty underwhelmed by the choice of music included--especially compared to the stirring music used in MTW.

However the music selection on macromedia portion of the demo was much more like Jeff VanDyke's other TW stuff, and much better IMHO.

As a side note--being a bit older (59 this year) than most here, I grew up in the 50's and early 60's during the age of big budget biblical/Roman historical dramas such as Ben Hur, The Robe, Spartacus, Cleopatra, The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire, Barabas, The Ten Commandments, etc.

They all pretty much had two things in common--The Roman theme music was always grand and glorious with lots of trumpets and kettle drums, and almost all of the Roman leaders were played by a classically trained English actors--people like Richard Burton, Rex Harrison, Peter Ustinov, Jack Hawkins, or Laurence Olivier.

I know It's kind of weird, but remembering all of those great movies with all of those great English actors kind of conditioned me to expect the same for RomeTotal war---
I mean I expected lots of trumpet fanfares with kettle drums and also expected every voice talent to be English.

Kind of stupid I know--in fact it would probably make more sense if the Romans spoke Latin or at least English with an Italian accent, but somehow that wouldn't seem right either.

I rather like the main menu music but the battle music is just a touch lame. That MTW tune might be a placeholder.
