Poeni pikes not showing up

For some reason Peoni pikes do not show up on my computer, I see them thrust with nothing on their hands, looks slightly obscene. I've tried every video option setting in the game, turning off AA, etc. and couldn't get it to show. I have an ATI 9800xt with cat 4.8 drivers. Anyone know the fix for this?

Btw, i can see the Triarii spears perfectly.

check your ati control panel and max settings, see if it works, just a suggestion

To fix the Poeni Spear problem, go to your RTW demo main directory:

e.g C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War Demo
Open the 'Preferences.txt' file located in the main directory (NOT the preferences folder)

find the line that reads: UNIT_USE_SHADERS:FALSE

and change 'FALSE' to 'TRUE'.

*Returns to the shadows*

Ah, thanks. The wierd thing is, on my other computer with 9800 pro, i never had that problem, probably default setup for different cards are slightly different.
