how do you zoom battles so you can see it up close?

Double click the unit that u wanna zoom.
And then press " * " or " / " .. (zoom in-out)

Anyways, I've always thought the zoom level was poor. No way to look from truly close at these bloodbaths :=(

Yeah close up bloodbaths would be sweet, so its a shame that the zooming isn't that great (no empire earths close ups http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/frown.gif ) I would love nothing more than seeing my no-dachi swing and slaughter their way through the enemy ranks up close!
