I hope this hasn't been brought up yet (been a little busy with school) but when I put the Numidian Mercineries in the Cantabrian Circle ability, when they go to throw their javelins and are than charged by the romans Cav, they don't withdraw and then proceed to just get slaughtered, isn't there something wrong here?
Yeah they do seem to have some problems getting away in time, even against elephants!

Yeah, I've noticed that too. The concept is really cool and it looks great right up to the point that they infantry reaches their circle, then they just plow into the infantry in the way.

I haven't had any cav or elephants take me out - just some slow ass Princeps marching towards them.
Circle... throw jav... circle... HOLY CRAP WHERE"D THOSE GUYS COME FROM!!!
I got them working just fine.
And fine indeed it was ~:santa:
I think they have skirmish turned off to start with in the Trebia battle.

They work fine, when they on skirmish mode they withdraw automatically.

Same here, the Numidians swiftly withdraw when an enemy unit approaches them.

Seemed odd to me to have skirmish cav and have skirmish mode switched off but it does look nice when they perform it properly

LOL!
I know you meant princepes, but you actually said "Slow ass emperor".
Princeps, or "First citizen", was the honorific given to Augustus as well as the other emperors who followed.
No offence, old bean. It just sounded funny.

haha, it'll take a while till we have the spelling right - I've even seen some spell it "Principles" ~
Wasn't "pater patrie" the honorific title given to Augustus? IIRC, he was the one who wanted to be called princeps rather than it being given to him.

Tested the Numidian Circle today using RoDeO - 40 Numidian Cav vs. 60 Hastati, no upgrades, on the Trebbia battlefield.
Cantabrian Circle worked fine, my Numidians were on Skirmish mode from the beginning ( ~ ?). They caused maybe a dozen or so casualties with their javs (lost two or three Numidians to a handful of very fast, overeager Hastati ~ ). Then when they ran out of ammo, had them charge - it was even close, though the Hastati won with about 11 surviving and only 5 or so Numidians escaping.
Quite fun to just watch, should be really nice with Horse Archers ~

Playing with horse archers is one thing I'm drooling to think about doing eventually...

Can horse archers fire on the move yet?

We are told that they can - hey, the Numidians do - so all should be alright.
