Many on this board (me included) are somewhat concerned by the apparent game design decisiouns of CA to appael more to the RTS crowed.
Having looked at the last video installment of one of RTWs main compettitors over at gamespot I now fear that CA has made a big error.
The compettitor I speak of is sheduled for release just a month after RTW, has the best license (big fantasy triology) money can by, and the developers have a huge track record of succesfull RTS titles under their belt.
I dont hope CA is trieing to compete with these guys because they can only loose.
One example of bad design decisiouns:
One criticism about the demo is the new lower screen bar.
Well they got rid of it because big battlefields and lots of units to control means you have to have as much of the screen to get a got overall impression of the battlefield.
Although this is just one example I fear we will get a game that will neither appeal to crowed that has played Total war from the beginning nor to the RTS players because it will be to old fashioned and eclipsed by other modern RTS games in a short while.

Come on!
This topic (RTW-RTS) was discussed already in like dozen threads.
IMHO, at this point it’s only a speculation we don’t know how full game will play and feel.

So far I am very pleased with what I saw and I have no problem with new interface so far it suits the game well and plays like TW series and not warcraft3.
