... we haven't given out free copies to the Armed Forces. Whoever originally came up with that hoax, nice one, very funny - but then again, it was basically a lie, so perhaps not so nice and not so funny.

Gil ~ CA

(Let the confusion about whether I'm the real Gil commence. I am, by the way.)

Gil,

if and when the Org varifies your identity with a lovely CA icon, then I will believe you ~;) !

As to the rumour/lie, I don't really know if it's true or not and it doesn't matter. It made some good reading at least.

Yep... no response to the request to reset the password :)
Can a kind soul check the email on this account and dole me out the CA Shield Of Authenticity?

As to whether this is the real Gil - I think the clue is in the name (SouthwaterPanda), unless this is a very astute hoaxer (which would not be the first time).

Well, I've got the old GilJaysmith's blessing over in the original forums, so if I am a hoaxer (and sometimes I wish I was) then I've certainly convinced him - er, me.

Not that I've got much to say just now, but I thought I should make sure I can post at short notice if I need to...

Well, it sounded believable.. I know that some things (like the Magic the Gathering trading card game) were given to soldiers for free.

But thanks for dropping by and removing the doubts. I'm just new, so I didn't even know CA visited these forums. Pleasantly surprised that you do :). Hope to see some more rumours squished (or affirmed) if you have the time and are allowed to post it of course.

Regards.

Hi Gil. I assume you'd like your old username activated, vice advancing this one? I'll notify Admin to hook you up. Do you know if the other CA staff have similar login/password troubles?

Ahhh... good to be back. Thank you.

I'll check to see if anyone else is experiencing problems, but I saw a post by Captain Fishpants in the Rome forum so I'm guessing he's good, and I think the rest of the MTW team is still sleeping off the shock.

Hey Giljay. Got any tidbits about the RTW release, like the speed slider?

(From a long time tw fan. Lurking/reading the org forum from almost the beginning. I know you're the one CA developer to ask).

Yes.............please answer the speed slider question.Thats the big one for me.If the units move at the speed in the demo i think i may have to miss out on the latest in the TotalWar series unless it's adjustable.*crosses fingers and prays* ~:)
