As I am unable as yet to post on the Colisseum I thought I would post a few comments about the Rome Demo. It seems that far too many people have judged the full game on the demo and are already complaining.
Why?

1. The demo is a flavour of the game only. It would be impossible to include in the demo as much of the strategic and tactical complexity that is going to be available in the full version. This game is going to be HUGE in terms of its gameplay - wether in the strategic map or in battle mode. The utter complexity that is being offered will cater for many tastes for a long time.

2. It would be pointless to include in the demo any modding capabilities. So little of the game is seen in the demo and not enough of the game files are included for anyone to make use of any modding capability.

3. The Rome Info file that comes with the demo is what people should judge the game on. It supplies far more information and data about the potential of the full game than one small battle and one small tutorial.

Personally, I can't wait for the real thing. The demo has wetted my appetite in a way no other game has - ever!

So please people, less negativity and more trust in the people who made both SHOGUN and MEDIEVAL. They gave us two inventive and great games and I personally don't believe they will let us down this time.

I know some out there will disagree with my comments. We are all entitled to our opinions.

Discuss!!

Thanks guys

According to the totalwarcenter's poll about the demo :

- 576 (votes) : It was awesome!
- 178 : It was so-so...
- 29 : I am horrified and disgusted by it.

That's common knowledge anyway, complaining people shout louder.
