View Full Version : Is it just me or are the mongol campaigns kind of lame?
When you play it the first time, you don't know where the reinforcements come in, so like 999999999999999999 mongols will pop up behind your lines, unless you line the whole west coast with troops. It's impossible to know where to defend without foreknowledge.
After you have played it once, you know where and when the reinforcements come in, so you know exactly where to defend and then it becomes pretty easy.
It's kind of lame when the major challenge is enemies appearing out of no where.
The samurai campaigns, of course are neat.
eh, I doubt its you if thats the case, I honestly dont have it http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/frown.gif

I think that they (the mongols) are placed randomly... Of course I knew it was in upper Japan, actually i figured out pretty easy what provinces they would arrive in. The reason: simple.. study history..

I dont think its random ,they've arrived in the same 3 provinces every time when I played it (then I got bored and got back at playing the Samuraicampaign again.

Try the Japan's Darkest Day Campaign, or create one yourself with Hecose's Campaign editor.
