Well just wanted to pay my regards to STW. Even though I only played it online for about 4mths I have found it to be great. It is the only game I have really committed myself to playing well online. Only other game I ever played online was AOE but gave it up as I got trashed often and didnt learn much as it was very anonimous. The foyer of STW was welcoming and responsive to my newbie needs. I have even joined a clan, RTK9Paul of Exidur can you believe it.
Anyway farwell STW (sheds tear) you will go in the draw but never in trash. I will now move on to MTW. My only hope is that MTW keeps the same format of there foyer where I actually got to know people.

I'm moving on to MTW Polar. I'm from USA so I have had the game a couple of days now. It is GREAT! The MP is good to very similar to STW foyer. Only problem is the freakin font is gonna make me go blind. I hope to see you in MTW Polar along with all of the Noble 7Bear7 guys and even those cute little 7cub7 guys too.

Shogun was the game that I spent most time on (2 years +) in my life and I never went so deep in the community as I did with this fantastic game. The community itself kept me going by maps, campaigns, tourneys and stuff and I thank Dan-sama (if he can hear me http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif) for giving me the opportunity to be admin of this fantastic site and forums.
On the battlefield STW touched my emotions, made me sad, made me happy. The online campaigns especially were epic, the peak of role-playing, and the peak of this game.
I really wish to see all the 'old guys' coming to MTW, the experiences of STW must repeat themselves bigger and better! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif
Oh btw, farewell Shogun!

sorry Tera is soured your heart felt post..
I second your words...well not the bit about Dan...but the emotion.
Oh how I envy the newbie and the sights they are about to behold and the experience match by no other game on line.
Tera I think the campaign (the first mainly) was the icing on the cake.....we were as close to Medieval Japan as anybody could be in the modern era....[i]'players will look back and envy the chance we had'[i/] (kinda Shakespear Henry V Sainst Crispins Day speech that last bit...ouch watch out for the experts to correct my reference...!)

as well, goodbye stw
snif snif, but teh story continuous...
The 2 main campaigns were both great, the first one was short-lived but it was extremely exciting, no other campaign matched its level of intrigue and diplomacy. The NoFear-Rage conflict was especially superb, wins on both sides, losses on both sides ...if I only had some chat logs still existing http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif Probably our mistake was that we were too much occupied fighting between each other, while Wolves dominated and couldn't be stopped. Then 1/2 clans left and it died.
The second campaign was longer, but there were some clans that wouldn't collaborate to engage in the "campaign spirit" that exclusively characterised it. If only ok I don't care what you all say, I give this province FREE to... didn't happen so often...Kenchi vs Wolves would have been a damn good epilogue.
May we have more...I am sure Magyar and his webmonkeys will work on it (are?)...

One sword to behead the white ruler sitting on the white throne in the Vatican.
One sword for the ruler who will come and unite us under the sign of the cross
with broken arms. Eleven swords to behead eleven lords and rulers of the land
united under the blue banner. A hundred swords to defend our southern
boundaries against black plague and half moon.
And one axe for me to defend my stronghold, and may I call this axe, "Bane of
Christendom" soon.

(this is last campaign btw)
Rage held the largest land mass until the sad little vermin started giving land away...
our growth was halted by the Elite clans refusal to trust us...but after we were reduced back to a smaller size and so were they we got things moving..only to find that because one clan was incapable of fighting to a decent level and another was 'gifting' all their provinces to everybody who smiled...both elite and Rage were entering into battles 2 v 1/3 v 1 500+ koku less per player.
Now Monsta likes a good fight..and even a loss if we go out scratching and biting (like the bridge battle of the 1st 'real' campaign)....but wehen your facing enemies who have gained extra buildings/castles/lands/koku and green cards...and they gained them from idiots who gave them away...the game becomes less than enjoyable.
Tera if you think m8..we even had an alliance for a while....amazing if you think of the turmoil before.
The final straw came when we got virus threats....then it was time to step out.
This doesnt mean that given the right timing and a little tweak (mainly selection on who plays) Monsta would refuse another chance to enter a campaign.
Magyar and myself had some wild ideas....possible...but so much work...maybe with the advance in mods etc some of thoses ideas may take shape.

Ehe, yep. Today it's quite the same anyway...me and you have worked together in the HABA and the relations between Rage and Kenchi are good.
