Original planned release date?

I know RTW got pushed back quite a bit but when was the original release date for the game? But from what it seems the wait was well worth it

I have a vague memory it was planned for last year! I do remember one of the CA folk saying that the early game had received a lot of attention from on high. They planned a rather modest game along the lines of MTW, but due to the interest it received, decided to spend around a year polishing it up into something special.
