I think the expansion pack should have more diplomatic options like I will not attack your clan if you pay me 500 koku or you will be able to ask for help from your allies.
Anyother suggestion?

How about having a female heiress and being able to strengthen alliances buy marrying her off to other clans heirs. I remember reading this somewhere before.

I think both ideas we originally intended to be part of STW, but were dropped because of lack of time. It would be nice if they were included in the add-on pack, but from what I have heard the focus is more on providing new scenarios than on enhancing the diplomatic options. Besides, I don't think negotiation with the Mongols will be an option http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

I'm sure that the diplomatic options and AI will come but over the next few installments, rather than in the next patch. EA are wideos like that.
