How to log on to the new server...

Hi - I had to read about 6 different posts before i knew what I should be doing with regards to setting up this new fakeserver thingy. So I thought i'd post the thins i did to get it runnin for me.

first you download this file: (doesnt matter where u save it i think)
http://www.totalwar.org/maps/tools/ServerSwapper.exe (http://www.totalwar.org/maps/tools/ServerSwap)

Then u run this file - it asks you to point to a folder to install into - i installed into this 1:

D:\Games\Total War\Mongol Invasion

then - because i have windows XP - i had to copy the program "Choice" which I found in a folder called Choicecom loated here on my computer:

D:\Games\Total War\Mongol Invasion\Choicecom

into this folder:

C:\WINDOWS\system32

This apparently allows bat files to be run with XP (necessary as the serverswap program is a bat file)

Then I ran STWServer.bat (which is located where you pointed the serverswap to install to)
This opens a little dos window with 3 options, press b to point to the fake server (or press a to point to ea servers).
then press x to exit.

Now u can run shoggy and log on to whichever server u last got stwserver to point to.

i have prob when i run the choice proggy it gives me yes or no, i press yes and tried to run the stw server and it prresented a dos screen for a split second, why?

Oops - sorry Tenkisoratoti - you dont run the program Choice - you have to copy it into the folder :

C:\WINDOWS\system32

(I have edited the 1st post so its accurate)
