In response to lars573's post in the Colosseum (thread on Q&A to CA):
"I've seen a screen of the diplomatic negotiation screen it had the offer/demand settlement option up but there were others further down. that were a bit blurry, lots of them but blurry."
This is by no means the complete list, but here are the diplomatic options between the Julii and the Senate from the 16-minute video (yes it was blurry):
Make offer
? military access (probably give a faction access over your lands)
? ? ? trade rights (probably give a faction rights to trade through your lands)
Attack faction
Give region
Make single payment
Regular information
Not to ? an attack
Map information
Make demand
Attack faction
Make single payment
Regular tribute
Not to attack
Map information
There is still the question of what sort of payments are involved, like whether you can demand a region as payment for something...and I know there are options to allow areas to become protectorates, etc, so I'm not sure where that comes in. At least this is a beginning.
