I got United Offensive, Call of Duty expansion, several days ago, and I got Star Wars: Battlefront yesterday, but I hardly had time to try out any of those. Since I have much work on my hands, the waiting time ‘till Rome actually comes out won’t be a difficult one - even when the demo came out I actually played it one entire week after I had it in my hands, for crying out loud! ~:dizzy: But I won’t wait that much with the full release! ~;)

Voit, I was just gonna ask you how the Call Of Duty expansion was. Worth the money? But, I see you haven't had time to play it. When you do, let me know. My son loves that game and it would make a nice B-Day present. For $29 U.S. though, it better be worth it. Expansions cost almost as much as the original games now. ~:)

Don't pay 30 for United Offensive. It is pretty good, but A LOT harder than ther original. They ramp up the tension and the difficulty in certain areas, and that may be a turn-off. The new weps are cool, and I think that multi is where the true benefits will be seen.

Thanx for the info. Lehesu. I will probably wait until Christmas to get it for my son. I have a LAN set up, but you really need more than 4 PCs (people) to have fun playing that game over a LAN. :)

Well, things being, I have played some United Offensive yesterday, and a little bit day before; SP is very good and interesting, that is not much of a surprise, I guess.

The MP part is now…Different. It reminds more of Enemy Teritory or some Battlefield title day by day, you get to drive tanks, jeeps, mount 88’s, you get new MP mods like base assault. There are a lot of new weapons, like deployable heavy machine guns et cetera…

The safe advice is to wait; I’ll emerge into the game more some time soon, and I am currently in process of gathering some feedback from my clan members, in order to see how they liked it. As soon as I have made up my own mind, I will let you know whether I can recommend it or not (I actually took it upon me to write a review about it in this gaming magazine I work for occasionally when I get the time to write! ~;) )

Btw, Elmark-sama, I hope you will honor me with a Rome MP encounter on the field of battle some time soon, hopefully! :bow:

I am just loading the RTW game on my laptop from work. I will load it on my machine tonight and be on around 11:30 pm Eastern standard. I have heard from UglyGoat that MP is only allowing for 3v3 games, which is kind of dissappointing, but you do get 20 units per player. Plus you can set up custom battles as the host and play them in MP. Plus there are also Historical battles which can be played online. Gonna be interesting, though I WILL miss the 4v4 games.
