Rtw Tomorrow...

I visited a local EBgames store where I pre-ordered a copy of RTW today. The clerk told me that I can probably pick up the game tomorrow.

I keep my finger crossed and plan to make the trip again tomorrow at lunch...

I visited the local Best Buy today. They got a fresh batch of ROme pre-order boxes. Dunno whether to take that as a good or bad omen (or should I say augur ~;)

Will check daily on the way back from work starting tomorrow until I get it.

i hate best buy. I just tired to check my presell (preorder that comes as an empty box with cupons) status on line, it said order not found contact customer care. I did. Talk to this guy and he tells me "The order is complete. It's a presell, if you want to get the actually game, i suggest you buy it tomorrow for $49.99". At this point i asked him if i paid $10.00 for the empty box of cupons that i alredy threw out? 30 min later he told me to go to my local besbuy and talk to customer care there.

so now i have to go throught more bs before i can get my hands on the game. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH BEST BUY!!!

Over the years I have determined that pre-ordering games just isn't worth the hassle. I wound up going to the store and standing in line behind everyone else who had just waltzed in and picked it up.

For anyone worried about not getting a copy on day one then I guess reserving a copy might relieve some angst but otherwise I see no profit in it.

It says that the release date is today, but none of the stores in Charleston, SC have it. Everyone said it will come tomorrow. I just don't understand why are we behind the schedule here. I guess it is a Southern thing! :furious3: :wall:

I've called every store I can think of and still no dice. The one store that sounded like they would have it around 2pm when I called back the guy gave me what seemed to be a pat answer, I think they have it and are holding off the phone customers so they will have enough for walk ins and pre-orders.

As for best buy those people are imbeciles...your almost better off calling wal-mart, thats how sad it is over there.

I visited EB store where I reserved my copy twice today. Both time I was told that it will be there tomorrow, Thursday. Apparently the hurricanes caused some shipping delay, which I don't completely understand because I live on the west coast. So I hope that tomorrow I'll have it for sure

Geeze, the purpose of a presell is to reserve you a copy of the game. You then pick it up and get your $10 reduced from the price. What a bunch of bozos.

how do i go about this? I have the paperwork (reciete), but the presell box is god knows where. Do i have to bring the empty box to best buy, or will the paperwork be enough?

Good news on my front. EBgames called this morning while I was out - my copy of RTW is IN!!! Now I just have to get out to the store and secure my copy. My hats off to the wonderful people who deliver things in all kinds of weather and conditions. :bow:
