A Few Hours Left!!!!!

Well lads in a few hours our American friends are about to go over the top to get their copy of RTW! we wait in antisipation of their glorious news of this great game i can see by all the people viewing this forum that i am not alone in this great battle of waiting

I forgive u and i dont really mind it so much anyhow, i am kinda getting used to the fact that the majority of gamers is male.At least on this forum they probably are :nice:

it's now nearing 5PM Pacific Time on the 22nd. I called all of the shops near my house and all were pretty dead set on the fact that it's coming in tomorrow. They seemed pretty annoyed as if people had been asking them all day. I'm going down to pre-order my copy.

oh yeah and over that TWC no one has the game yet besides Sib. He's writing a review which he's posting early tomorrow morning.

Yep, same here. No luck with EB or Best Buy. They all say tomorrow.

Nooooooo! Potentially bad news. I called the EBgames where I pre-ordered the game to see if perchance, it arrived today (the 22nd). According to the store manager, Hurricane Ivan may have put a delay in the distribution of RTW - at least to certain areas of the US. This particular EBgames is within 10 miles of Electronic Boutiques Pennsylvania distribution center (the other is in Louisville KY), so that is not an encouraging sign. The store manager said they were still being told RTW will be available on the 23rd, but she seemed skeptical and that it may not be in until sometime next week. One of my neighbors works at Electronic Boutiques world headquarters, so I may give her a call tomorrow to see what she may know.

Has anyone else heard any similar news? I'm sure, if this is indeed true, it will not be a nationwide delay. Pennsylvania was hit pretty hard (flooding) by Ivan and I know quite a few other states were hit even harder. I'm going to be optimistic and try to pick up the game tomorrow, but I'm going in prepared for the worst.

Out here in the dessicated west I'm being told for sure tomorrow at noon -- the store says it shipped from Seattle today. That would be a real stinker if Ivan actually did wipe out game delivery over there! Darn hurricanes anyway.

Best Buy (U.S.) recently changed RTW status to "back ordered". Not sure if this means anything as, Best buy sucks for software. (Although good prices on TVs)

Compusmart (Canada only) Changed it's status from "Shipping in 1 day" to "Coming Soon". Which I think means it's in the process of hitting the shelf.

FutureShop (Canada) is by far the most informative of them all. Updated everyday at 9:00am on every store's stock status. Changed from "Due for release Sept 22/04" to "On order"

Yeah I had my game pre-Ordered online form Futureshop.ca when it said it was being shipped to customers on the 22nd. When it got changed to: On Order, Will Ship in 4-6 Days I cancelled my pre-order and am just hoping for the best.

EB Games in Victoria here say that they'll have the game today (23rd), one said it might be as late as 2PM when they recieve it.

Both EB and Compusmart have now changed to "in stock". Now I know it will be on the shelf later today, tommorrow morning.

As for Futureshop, is it possible they were overwhelmed with preorders and ran out of stock because of that? Can't explain the status change otherwise.

I have call most of the shop who sell pc games in Quebec city, and so far, only Futur Shop have it in store. So i asked my wife to go buy it for me before she pick me up at my work. heheheh ~D
