Found this to be a good review regarding battles especially.

To the one doubting the age-bug in Medieval: in the second screenshot of this review, there is a 73 year old general (with A LOT of command). Haven't read any further yet, just wanted to share it ~;)
Hmmm.... check this out...
if you played the Rome demo and were disappointed, fear not – the game is much tougher than the demo and battles last longer. In fact, the speed depends much on the activity of the participants.
Should make a few people happy, including me. Well, at least I'm a little more at ease now.
"Battles are significantly faster than in Medieval"
Is that supposed to make me happy? Am I supposed to be happy that units run unrealistically fast, and I don't have time to control all of my units? Clicking faster is the answer? I already click as fast as I can.

This was an excellent review!
Cool thing - battles are marked on the map for posterity w/ some limited stats;

Not so cool thing - this "unit" is just so stupid;

Question = is there a manual??? I think all reviews so far were based on an advanced copy and not the final box - so who knows?

kind of amusing how he hacks the MTW interface and we all complain that we want it back
good review, I enjoy reviews that have critique in them like this and Siblesz's
On some of the screens I recognized barbarian(german) phalanxes!? ~:eek:

That's too f***ing cool. Really adds something to the atmosphere of the game.
