Too bad really, maybe Medieval, and the $9.99 STW CD`s will spur some interest in Shogun.

At the risk of getting shunned & lotsa hate mail after about 50 hours of MTW I actually prefer Shogun...

LOL I'm with Mojo here. I've played MTW a bit, and already the "environment" of the game is much less appealing to me than STW.

I still play STW and come into this board often. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

But as soon as I get MTW things will change.

I'm with James here. Shogun and MI were good but once you win the campaigns it gets dull.

MTW will breathe a fresh new life into the engine behind the game. I can't wait to get the game. Now if only I could find some cash.

I bought Shogun because of the Japanese setting like many here. I have moved to MTW because I love the community and want to continue to stay current. Besides, what I've seen of MTW is fantastic. I just got the game yesterday. I just wish Shogun had all these features.

I force myself not to buy the game last weekend, so that I have time to finish whatever I need to finish over the weekend. And I got it yesterday, and I force myself not to install the game till today, so that I can get a good night sleep for busy Tuesday. I fear I might have to postpone that too, just in case I like it too much and forget about STW http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/frown.gif

Anyway not looking forward to the Campaign (i didnt even finish STW's). It's MP that I like. BTW do all Activision products come in those little boxes? Or maybe it's just here, but the package does say "Made in USA".
