ctrl-alt-delete and shut down absolutely everything you can. Turn off any firewalls and/or virus software, etc, etc, etc then try again.

Alright, update all video and sound card drivers.
Ya i could have saved 3 frustrating hours and 20 mins on the phone if i had just realized to dowload my drivers. this is a MUST especially when playing a brand spankin new game.

Download new drivers at the site of your card's manufacturer (ATI if you have an ATI card for example).

Err... I'm a bit of a n00b with computers. How do I tell what card I have?
should be able to find out under start>control panel>system then clicking on the "hardware" tab - alternatively it should be listed either in your computer paperwork you got with it,or you can find out by opening the box and having a look in... :hide:

Ok, I go in there and looked under "Display Adapters" and here is whats written when I click the little minus box by "Display Adapters": NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 MODEL 64/MODEL 64 PRO.
Should I upgrade that ones drivers, or do I have something different?

Here's the link:
http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp
work your way thru the "step 1, step 2" routine, find your card, download the drivers. Good luck.
Alternatively, on that dialog box showing your vid card, if there's a button "upgrade driver", click it.

My problem was solved through a (last) new installation,
it might be that there was a failure in copying one file,
so it crashed all the time I had to go to battle.
Maybe this will also solve your problem ? :idea2:
And now back to fight :duel:

I think this is happening with Terrible onboard graphics cards or Old NVIDIA graphics cards.
