Hey Everyone,

How about a round of applause to the Creative Assembly!!? Four years of development is surely worth it! ~;p

Here's to hoping the the Devs keep innovating and evolving the TW Series!
( Terrible for the other people who have to wait another week :embarassed: )

I know that the last couple weeks have been tense: Lots of doubts and speculation, anxiety and anticipation. Right now, let's save the criticism, rants and suggestions to another future thread as we enjoy the game and cull more information and tactics.

For now how about saying a word or two of appreciation to the makers of the game!?

I've been having an amazing time playing. The way that that battle map simulates the campaign map is VERY satisfying. In the tutorial just north of the first City you conquer there are some rolling hills. They are very rolling and it was the best cinematic experience in a video game I've ever had. I wish I would have gotten a screen shot of it because it was amazing. You don't realize how much of a difference it makes for the campaign map to so well be integrated into your battle tactics - such as taking the high ground before the battle begins.

Also - the tutorial and the whole learning experience is incredibly well thought out. The game has so many things for you to read and look at and fiddle around with that it would take many hours just to read everything. If the Advice Level is set to "high" then almost anything new you do or open will have an Advisor telling you about it. CA you've outdone yourself on the teaching aspect - huge props for that as I love games that are this easy to get into. :2thumbsup:

My sister came into the room and was watching me play with wide eyes as I explained various things and showed her a battle. THen I told her it was only the tutorial and you get to play in all of Europe. Heh, she couldn't believe the campaign map was that big. The great thing about the map is that it draws you in a lot more - unlike the MTW battle map which was prettymuch just a piece of paper.

This is the best game I've ever played. ~

The whole map is living and breathing, I like it!

I was expecting a dumbing-down. I'm glad it was intuitively handled ~D

From a MP point of view, I don't think any praise is due at all. Four years in the making just to have old MTW v1.0 problems resurrect themselves :furious3: :wall:

I'm happy the campaign plays ok, a lot of SP'ers will be overjoyed but MP'ers? What have we got to crow about?

What problem are you refering to Orda? What is MP like generally? speed changed?

If you could give me the low down on RTW MP id be very happy :0

Just check Jousting Fields

Sounds like SP is great but MP feels like something that was added in last minute without much thought or testing...as always one could say.

CA owns.

I can't imagine the depressed state of the competetion. They must be thinking "we better just stick to FPS and C&C clones and hope for the best".

When you look at other recent releases, like Doom3 and compare it to Quake.
Now compare Shogun with RTW. Which team worked the hardest and where is it most obvious?

I have to agree. They've done a great job.

While we're on the subject of blowing smoke up people's arses, has anyone had a look at the credits? There's a little message there for us all from the team:

A big thanks to the Org, all the moderators on the official forums, and all the fans that have helped make the online community as great as it is!

It is awkward to hear that not everyone can derive as much fun as the majority. Hopefully, those issues can be patched promptly, so everyone can enjoy their slice of the delicious cake. ~:)

When CA ships me a complimentary copy of RTW, then I'll give them a "hooray".

OK, fine, fine. Hooray for CA.

This remotely resembling the Christmas season, I guess I'll have to begrudge them a miserly though near-grateful "Good Job".

~;)

I really, desperately need the game. That is, now.

I just no tengo dinero. :bigcry: :bigcry: :bigcry: :bigcry:
