my favorite cheat is .icheat.

not only does it automatically win the level for you, it also ejects your CD, puts everything back in the box, and mails itself back to the company for resale!

When you cheat in single-player, you only cheat yourself. At least noone else is affected.

I think you should learn to play this game.
But if anyone wants to use a single player cheat, it's ok with me. I sometimes use them myself to 'examine' things or speed up the proces.

They do work in patch 1.12.
Just type in one or more of these commands while in the strategy map, don't forget the 2 periods:

.muchkoku.
.conan. play with the ronin/rebels
.matteosartori. reveals the map, typing this command again hides it.

These cheats are from the official totalwar.com website (a past honorday, long ago), so I do not reveal a secret.
