Well I got rid of the Guals today. The Senate asked me to recieve their surrender and make them a protectorate. The Senate told me that I would be well compensated. The Guals were down to their King's army and last city. So I get a Diplomat over there and ask them on 4 consecutive rounds to "Become a Protectorate" or "We will attack"....and they declined saying that 'We don't need the Guals for slaves and that freedom is precious to them'.

Well.....my Leaders army was just over the hill so I dropped in on them, and wiped them out to the last man.

Next Round.....212BC.....i get the Reforms ~

I wish I would get mine that early. I'm still in 254 though.

Holy crap. Reforms that early? Talk about unbalanced.

I might be nearly done with the tech tree by that point, though. I already have principes by 254 BC. It is still more than 80 turns to that point.

I'm in 240 something and I've got Gual down to 3 provinces and most of the area surrounded except the part of Spain they hold, and now Spain just allied with them so that might slow me down.

I'm at 261 and about to take a fourth Gaul settlement not including one other rebel town. Population is very slow to regenerate that's why it is taking too long.

I'm only a couple hudnred individuals from 6000 on two provinces. Then, I will be able to build Governor's palace, Legions Barracks and hopefully Archery range.

The battles are fierce! (Expert/Expert). AI cheats on close games. When you kill their general they don't rout~
~

When you have superior numbers though, they rout faster.
