I get through the movie, and then it shows me the loading screen (The one that always has a quote and then a bar which fills up). It hangs on this screen for about 30-45 seconds and then my PC reboots. The "help files" say that it could be caused by a faulty installation of the Media Codecs, but I've reinstalled them several times and I'm still having this issue. any help would be appreciated as I've looked forward to getting this for quite sometime now. Thanks!

Hi Cennyan and welcome to the Org. So you have uninstalled, then reinstalled the game?

Yeah, uninstalled an reinstalled, reinstalled my video and audio drivers, made sure my bios was up to date, and about a dozen other things. I got a new video card about a month ago and had some resource issues installing it causing most of my video functions to go wack. At the moment, I've decided to go ahead and reformat and start with a fresh copy of windows. We'll see what happens in a few hours.

It was crashing just after the intro movie before the menu pops up.

Your gunna reformat? I was thinking on doing that! I'll wait and see your results before losing all my stuff though. Good luck m8!

I actually have my PC set up so I never lose anything. I have 2 partitions. The main partition is where I put all my games, operating system, etc....Then I have all my music, doc's, pics, email, etc...on the second partition. This allows me to make drastic OS / hardware changes and be able to reinstall quite easily and quickly. Four hours after reformatting I was battling my first gaul with aboslutely no lag and all video / audio options turned on. Was quite an experience...I'm already hooked on Rome :)
