After 2 hours of installing, not running, de-installing,
installing new videocard-drivers, install again, then running
the prologue and just before the first fight the computer
was loading, and then suddenly crash to desktop.

No need to say how frustrated I´m was.

I had also some problems with the nvidia drivers by
running TW:Medieval and couldn´t use the newest drivers
from nvidia and had also to change something with the
settings of my video card.

So my PC´s components are:

Athlon 1.2 MHz
MSI Starforce Nvidia Geforce TI 4200 64 MB
Windows ME
DirectX 9.0b

If anybody has a suggestion (other than "buy a new graphic card") I would be v e r y thankfull. ~:mecry:

And because I´m a new member of this forum, greetings to all ~

See the topic RTW Install problems.
Check your version of motherboard drivers, and sound card drivers.
Update!!!
Before play, disable antivirus, kaaza, task monitor, office bar, and any other program running.
To make this, press CTRL+ALT+DEL, and in the dialog box, finish all the process, exept System Tray and Explorer ~:)
If the problem persist, disable all process from the MSCONFIG routine.
For this, go to Execute, and type msconfig, then enter, here, in the startup
menu, demark all items exept systray and scanregistry.
Try again
If no work, chek if your system has an overclocked device...

Thanks for the detailled answer.
I will try to check out all points this evening.
I think I disabled everything before starting TW:Rome, but I didn´t use
the MSCONFIG routine.

For sure I don´t have an overclocked device (because I don´t know how to do ... ~D )

I also will try to use different video card drivers, at the moment I´m using the original one from the nvidia website, but maybe I should use the one from MSI instead.

Anyhow, thanks a lot for your fast response ~

Maybe, but I made a Image of my Harddisk right after Installing WinMe, Opera, Internet Connection with ZoneAlarm and AntiVir, and MTW.
After first problems I reinstalled this nearly fresh Image, so this are the
only programs already installed.

Anyhow, I will check if there isn´t running any software in the background.

Many thanks again.
