Well, my first campaign went corrupt (as Scipii.) It still loads and I can still play, but my "family tree" is .... not MY family tree, but a Greek one instead. Looks like I can change their heir, LOL, but I can't change mine. :dizzy2: I didn't notice it for several turns. Not sure of the cause. Prior to the corruption, I did change my choice of heirs early on, and the new guy did inherit. It was when I went back to alter it again about 10 years later after the new guy took over that I noticed the problem.
MY SUGGESTION: To avoid save game corruptions, do a save immediately after the "endturn" cycle has completed before moving anything. I suspect this clears up things as it did in STW and MTW and gets it back to a "clean state." Other saves could be "iffy." MTW usually went corrupt late in a game if I did mid turn saves. Never had a corruption after I started saving at the beginning of each turn.
