Beware! If one of your General's gets plague, he becomes a carrier that spreads the plague to every city and/or army he goes into!

I had a General who got plague, and until he died I had to leave him, alone, out in the wilderness. Everytime I joined him with an army, that army started dying off with plague. If I moved him into a city, likewise the city's population started dying off, even after I moved him out. Eventually the cities cleared up, but the plague stayed with my general until he died from it several years later.

Not nice!

I've found that agents can spread the plague as well... I love my little plague spy... He makes it fun to infiltrate cities. :skull:

Actually any of your moveable agents can spread plague. If an army gets infected, then every one of those units can spread the plague to other armies or towns. See this thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=37068) for a description of a plague effects experiment.

I didn't think of trying a spy! Of course they can get into enemy cities, should have thought of that... sneaky tricks.

No, they get infected as well. In every case in my plague match last night, when I removed a general from his troops, the Captain in charge of the troops was infected as well. Even when I pulled the Captain out, the new Captain would show up as a plague-carrier as well.

I'd be happy to hear that there's some sort of a time lapse between when a general catches the plague and when he passes it to his troops, though. It's nasty stuff!
