View Full Version : campaign end game?
i just finished my first campaign long game accidentally. i assumed i'd have the option of continuing on after i had taken 50 provinces but it just ended abrubtly. is there a way to change it so that i have to take every province? i know some people find it tedious, but there is 50% of the map i didn't even venture into, as well as the fact that the other two roman factions as well as the egyptians were each stronger than me militarily and economically, but i managed to bribe the right number of armies at weakly defended cities and all of a sudden the game ended. feels like a let down. i'm just looking for an option like there was in medieval, where you could continue after taking the 60%. or a command line somewhere where i can change the take 50 provinces in imperial campaing to take however many there are.
The way I did it was save when that screen pops up saying you have won then when you are tken back to the main screen load it up and you wont get the message yet you will have still won.
Easy to solve. Just don't take Rome - and you can then conquer all the provinces you want to. The victory conditions are take 50 provinces AND Rome. If you don't take Rome you can take 100 provinces if you want. Then when you are ready to finish, take Rome. There, that wasn't hard now, was it? :)

I'm not sure it's possible to conquer 50% of the map, at lest on higher campmap difficulties. The distance to capital penalties are too high. Worth a try I suppose.
Was there an end game video. I hope there is as that is something to loo forward too!!!
what i ended up doing was taking rome, destroying the senate faction, and all the buildings i could within the city itself, then goading the city into rebellion, while i continue to conquer the rest of the map. thanks grifman for the tip.
oaty, there is about a 10 second victory video that loops continously after you win the game.
