Finally got to play MP last night and saw alot of mistakes common to new players. I know its in here elsewhere but please take this to heart.
Decorum and teamwork---everyone was very well behaved but heres a few tips. Say Good Luck at the beginning and Goog Game at the end. It is a game after all and respect goes a long way. Your enemy today may be an ally tomorrow. Talk to your team. Multi is a team sport....when you are fighting your foe and your ally`s foe comes crashing into your flank....you should have formed a plan with him. Spending--do I understand it that your ally can spend some of your money? If so then be fair.
Firewall--PLEASE drop your firewall before you try and play. When the host gets a problem message that names you ...you wont be able to play. When asked to leave their game plz just leave. All you do by staying is block the game.
Archers....protect your missile units.....vet players will hit them with cav and rout them if left exposed. Guard them well.
Anyway, had a great fun playing Germans. And one as Seluecids. Have a great respect for Macedonian pike now. And the Germans as well, they did very well against Romans and Carths.
