I have had a search but could not find an answer to this...

When you don't have a Family Member present in settlement you get an auto Governor and I am aware that you can still alter the checkboxes so I can determine what is built/recruited...

But, what about the tax level??? In a present Julii (Hard/Hard) campaign I am taking settlements in Spain, but I am running out of Famiily Members Even a family member with stats of 0 for everything is better than none because lowering the tax rate is often the only thing that keeps the people from rioting even with large garrisons of troops... I will have a settlement which is okay +120% public order until I move on the Family Member and the public order drops like a stone... It looks like the auto Governor put the tax rate straight to very high!!!

Is there any way I can effect this????

Not any good for this campaign, but when you start a new campaign you can turn off auto manage all together

To get the AI to lower the tax rate switch to "Growth Build" mode. If you take off the construction box, it won't build anything but it will lower tax rates to encourage population growth.

The Tax Governor keeps your public order close to 100%.

But you are right, move away with a lot of the Garrison, and he SHOULD drop Taxes from Very High to Normal e.g. - but he DOES NOT!

Well, Riot...

Only Solution so far: Turn off Auto Governor, set Tax Rate correctly, turn it on again...

stupid. :dizzy2:

This is why I no longer use the Governor and just manage the Tax Rate by myself every turn.

This should be fixed and a patch request, as this is a real flaw of the Tax Governor Feature that I would really like to have - I usually set the Tax as high as possible and for this the Governor would be quite good.
