I was assaulting the carthaginians, i had 2500 men and they had 2000 and i only had 21 minutes to take the city, but when i was fighting the gauls it gave me 40 minutes although we were about 300 to 200, this may be a bug but anyway can u take the timer off like in mtw because its really anoying,I would have won the assault if i had only 10 more minutes.
I tried looking on options but its not there
can anyone help. :help:

I think you can only do it at the start of the campaign.
Before you start, go single player and click on the historic battles, then cancel out of that. Then start the campaign and you should have no timer for all of your battles.

Though someone probably has a mod to take the timer out as well.

I imagine something like turning the timer off would be an easy mod. Maybe check out mod forums.

I can't understand why they wouldn't include it as an option to turn off.
In fact I don't know why they have a timer at all. Its not like an army general is going to say mid fight "Righto lads, its half past one and we've been fighting for too long. Lets leave."

Not sure if this is the done thing to advertise another website on my first post, but there's a mod at the Twcenter which lets you switch the timer on and off.

Hope that helps - you don't have to start a new campaign either.

Well often, the AI willonly attack if there is a timer.

So it is nice to be able to have it, but for big seiges, you really need the ability to turn off the timer :)

I had a problem with my media player 9 so no videos could be played in rome.
I fixed media player and reinstalled rome and now there is no timer at all.
I did not use a mod.
