Do they live to fight another day if I defeat them in battle? Where do they go if I'm not seeing an actual retreating army on the campaign map? I'm trying to decide if it is a good idea to stick around and kill off as many as possible, even if I've won the battle. It does pose a risk to my army and especially my general.

Thanks in advance for the help.

IIRC the enemy units are no more if more than 75% of it is killed

I could be wrong but it happened to my army which was Withdrawing from battle while taking heavy losses - some of the only units to make it were my General whom I really wanted to save - but because of this 75% kill deal I lost everything .... lame

They become combat ineffective and disband a large percentage of their unit is destroyed. This includes family members, I've reduced an enemy hier down to himself before and he got away, but his unit on the strategic map died.

Yeah, its nice not having to chase down those last few soldiers now :)
Means that router chasing is not so important any more.

Though it did cause me some annoyance when my previously all conquoring army got wiped out by a super elite rebel army :stars:

I believe it depends on whether or not an army has movement points left. One I lost at least 75%of my army in a battle but it still retreated. Another time I withdrew without a fight but lost my whole army. :help:
