On my PC demo runs ok. But will the full game (w/o "tweaks"). The

Win XP (SP1)
Athlon XP 2.2
512 RAM
Radeon 9800 Pro
Mobo Abit NF7(-S) v2.0 (5 PCI, 1 AGP, 3 DIMM, Audio, LAN)
Motherboard Chipset nVIDIA nForce2 Ultra 400

The reason I ask is that I tried MTW on the abovesystem and it froze at the loading screens. Reinstalled twice and continued to freeze. So I am not keen to get RTW to find a similar thing happening.

Thanks

check the following link:

there you´re sure to find the system requirements, but your system configuration sounds good.

As for me, I was unable to play the demo (only got 32 MB Mobility Radeon M6-P graphics), but the game itself works perfectly well, except for some textures.

Your machine specification is plenty good enough to run the game. But make sure you have all the latest drivers/direct x versions and maybe firmware of course.

Your specs look good to me. Similar to my PC and Rome TW runs like a dream ~:)

I also had trouble with running MTW after I upgraded my PC. Worked fine on my old system but my new, and so much faster, system would crash during the battles. So now when I play it I have to open up my box and point a big heavy duty fan in it. It stays cool and no more crashes.
I'm not looking forward to summer though when I'll need the fan for me.

I find that the Demo of RTW runs visably slower than the full game. It's probably a polishing/optimisation issue. I remember the Battle of Trebia chopping a little from time to time in the Demo, and in the full game the same battle runs just fine for me.

Here's what I'm running:

Thermaltake V7000A Tower Case
Thermaltake Aquarius II Water Cooling System
Antec TRUE480 480W Power Supply
Intel Pentium IV 3.2XE 800FSB S775 Processor
Asus P5GD2 Premium S775 PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
1GB DDR2 Corsair PC5400 TWINX C4 PRO RAM
Nvidia GF6800 AGP 256MB Gamer's Edition w/ TV/OUT
Creative Labs SB Audigy 2 ZS PLATINUM PRO

As everyone else has said, you'll be fine with that system - I have very similar, but I splashed a mighty £45 on an extra 512Mb of RAM, which did improve the demo quality considerably, and the full game runs like a dream too.
I do have problems with MTW though, but I think this is down to my Catalyst drivers for my Radion - it was fine with the 4.6 drivers, but when I went to 4.9, the battles turned into a slide show, and the sound was getting cut up. I was most distressed until I 'fixed' it by reducing the sound quality in the options. Good old ATI - one step forward... Ho hum. Mind you, since last Friday, MTW has been gathering dust for the first time in 2 years, so it's not all bad!

I have an Athlon 1.33 GHz, 1 Gig RAM and a 128 MB 9600 Radeon.
I was very pleased to see that RTW runs like a charm on my system. I don't know which settings the autoconfiguration settled on. I don't even bother tweaking them because the game looks really awesome. Thanks to CA for not lying about "minimum requirements"!
In my humble system, RTW runs better than the demo and better than MTW.
Cheers and good luck!

Not only will the game run fine on the system you describe, it will probably run better than the auto-configuration system will acknowledge.

to optimize your preferences. There's a quick hack that will let you run at 1600 x 1200, and a more involved hack that will give you all graphics options. Either will do the trick.
