View Full Version : corruption
How do I bring this down? I notice I am paying out too much on corruption. What is the best way to deal with this?

I think the biggest contributing factor is distance from the capital. You should also check the traits of your governors in high corruption cities, they can have a major impact on it. I'm not positive on this last one, but I think the administrative structures, such as the governor's dwellings and academies, lower corruption, maybe someone else knows for sure.

you're right, distance from the capital is a significant factor, but there's not much you can do about it, except for using remote cities only as slave farms and easy money (by exterminating the populace).
However, what you _can_ do about corruption is build buildings that improve the law, and/or transfer characters that add to your governor's +law from places where they are not needed as much.

Well, I believe you actually are able to move the capital...... Maybe not a good idea for other reasons, but at least it should be possible....
Yes you can move the capital but I would expect the former capital to then suffer in the same way.
Blodrast, I do not understand why killing all my people would have a positive effect ~
I saw a post about shrines that improve law and order and I have also noticed some of my family members have a + regarding order. I thought a good governor should improve these things? I will try this
