Ambush ready?

When I continue my campaign game I hear one of my armies shout to me "Ambush ready!" There are no foreign armies near any of my armies and I don't believe I've done anything to tell one of my armies to prepare an ambush. Any idea what is going on? :dizzy2:

I believe the ambush-line comes, when you have an army standing in woods. You don't have to actually ambush anyone, or plan to, just put an army in a wooded area and you get the message.

Yes, the army is simply telling you that they COULD ambush another army if need be.

You can use this to your advantage on the campaign map. If you have an agressive enemy who uses an invasion route through a choke point (i.e. mountain ravines or coastline with mountains nearby), you can set ambushes and catch his next invasion force off-guard.

I think I have read that the army crouches when you place it in or near trees as well as giving you a report
