... and then this (http://www.steampowered.com/index.php?area=news&id=325) happens!

Got a night off from the missus, was gonna buy RTW on the way home from work and settle in to a nice evening being totally unproductive. Now i have some seriously tough decision making to do.

Its just like buses. You wait for ages and then 2 come at once!

You'll be missing out on the Fun & Frustration in RTW! Mostly fun at least. ~:)

Leading Frustrating features in SP:
1) Charge Speed - drive you nuts at first but you'll adjust.
2) Controlling units - Units don't obey exact orders (just ask anyone!)
3) Squalor - The inhuman population growth causes this. Six percent growth in 6 months? ~ (Maybe rabbits, sure).

There are others like reinforcement AI and unstoppable corruption etc, but these I think are the major ones (at least someone correct me if i'm mistaken).

Yeah but you can buy it now over steam in the UK and play it as soon as it is released in the states (i have it preloaded on my HD already). More to the point, you can play CS:Source *now* (well, 7pm GMT) if you buy it over steam.

Really i just need to decide if i am in the mood for mindless action or strategic depth tonight...

Although from what i've been reading the RTW combat runs so fast it almost qualifies as mindless action anyway ~;) ~D

Dude, thats for the 'Gold' edition, which comes with strategy guide, posters, hats, t-shirts and god only knows what else. Bronze and Silver editions are only $49 and $59.

And no, you cant DL CS:Source & DoD Source for free. But you do get CS:Source free with HL2 (and since you need HL2 to play it as a mod... well duh...) DoD:Source and HL1:Source come with the silver package for an extra $10. Pretty reasonable pricing really.
