A tiplet is a triplet of tips, and mine are as follows. :)

1:- Have a spy and diplomat travel around with every army, it can come in very handy when travelling deep in enemy territory and isn't too much hassle.
2:- Make sure your family members move around every turn, someone before posted it affects the traits they get and so far it's working very well for me. I used to get alot of useless traits and bad family members nowaday's their all upright honest romans(armenians, scythians, greeks etc.).
3:- Don't use save/load whenever you lose a battle or something goes wrong, the game is much better when you let(rather than quickload and move him out of the city or something) your faction leader get seiged by 1000 gauls with only 150 town militia to protect him. In my case he died but the army i gathered to avenge his death was very satisfying. ~

Completely agreed. Using saved games completely removes any sense of tragic loss or consequences. I love the fact that I get surprised sometimes and have major setbacks --- and the fact that I can get attached to characters as they grow. Working "with" a general for fourty or fifty years of gametime, and when he dies remembering back to when he was a young pup in the capital... it just brings tears to the eyes ~:mecry: ~:)

IT's so sad when your 9 star general dies and you remember the day when he became a general he was a 2 star

I agree about save/loading it will just seem too easy if you do it. It's the feeling of panic when your massive main army gets beaten by 3 huge stacks of gauls/Egyptians ad you know they are now going to attack your cities and you have no strong enough armies to stop them.

I disagree. If you want to reload whenever you want it should be by choice. If you think this removes the trajedy of the event then DONT USE IT. By forcing people to NOT be able to save it pushing your own agenda on others and is wrong. I used to play MTW sometimes and play "balls" campaigns. I would never save unless I was totoally logging off. BUt other times I enjoyed playing my "orchastrated" campaign where everything went like I wanted it too.

Err... I don't think any of us were expressing a demand here, feel free to do what you like.

Yeah but when you have like 10+ family members that's a lot of micromanaging...
