On medium difficulty, I send two light cavlry to chase after their chariot archers. (I'm seculids). I'm handling other matters, and I check back a short while later and found both those units routing with 2 or 3 cavs left, and Egypt's chariot archers are still almost full force!
Much later on...
their bowman had run out of arrows and charge my silver shieled phalanx (in phalanx formation). Their one unit has 60 guys, so it matches up perfectly with my 3 units of phalanx. I figure easy win for me. Not so... theiir bowman managed to kill all the phalanx except maybe 20 left (all 3 of my units combined barely had 20 guys left--total!) The bowman still had half the unit left! A cav charge got rid of them but this is just absurd!!! :furious3:
and early on the battle, I had my phalanx engage their phalanx and using heavy cav, I charged their rear. I ended up losing more guys then they did!??
the same move agains the greek hoplits decimated them with very little losses.
