New Dune and Samurai Armor....

Sci Fi Channel is coming up with a new Dune based movie.. I just wanted you guys to check out this cool pic on the site. I think it's the Sardaukar but it may be a different army they seem to be wearing Samurai type uniforms check it they look really cool.

I'm sure I'll watch it despite my reservation about watching what appears to be a red-headed stepchild to the big-screen movie from a few years back. If the sci-fi channel could somehow lure back Sting, i might be more inclined to accept it.
Anyhow, I'm sure a miniseries would be more involved than a 3 hour movie, so cheers!

I'm definitely looking forward to an improved
version. They missed so many opportunities with the last one. I've seen a few blurbs on TV about this one and have high hopes for it.

Yea I hope it includes more details aswell They say it is going to. I will definately see it.

They claim there will be some hand to hand battles and I want to see what will happen that Samurai armor looks cool..

Hope the mini-series at least tries to follow the book, I mean voice-activated weapons for Fremen- bah!!!

although this is the cinema section... I think the forum is geared more towards japanese-based cinema (preferably of samurai period). However, as you mentioned and included the reference to Samurai costumes, it's ok this time, but next time try to post a topic like this in the off-topic forum.
