help with groups

We can group 2 units together using ctrl-[number]. But how can i group a unit by itself?

I just want to be able to select a single unit using a single hotkey.

Nope. We know it would be useful, just like units being able to be in multiple units at once. You could do it in S:TW & M:TW. But not in R:TW. Sigh.

is there any chance of a patch being released that can allow the user to do this? I know it might be a long shot since it isn't a "bug" per se, but i feel that it would be very useful.

It should be a simple thing to put into the game, especially since it is in the previous ones. Here's to hoping it will be in a soon-to-arrive patch ~:cheers:
