View Full Version : Multiplayer with One Play CD possible?

Me and my brother want to play a LAN or Online Multiplayer battle. Is this possible without him buying the game too? I know that with Age of Empires and Starcraft as well as a number of Command and Conquor titles you could do this as only one CD per a certain amount of Networked people was needed.
Is this the same for Rome?

dont know i gess you could open rome total war then take out the cd and put it in to anouther computer. but for mp i dont know if the code will prevent you from playing mp, it could, if it doesnt work for intrenet mp then try lan mp
There was a thread on this earlier ... I searched a few times with no luck, sorry. The upshot of the earlier thread was that CA was sorry, but you really do need two copies to get two PCs playing against each other on a LAN.
I really wish I could find that thread. Nothing more impressive than a response directly from a CA person.

Yeah I remember a thread almost exactly like this. I searched before making this thread but came up short too.
That's pretty annoying, I'm not made of money.

I listen about a NOCD patch exist for a lot of games.
Search in Internet for one of this.
Somebody may have one, i think.
