I used to watch Nickelodeon as a kid here in America.
There was a cartoon on it at the time called Danger Mouse. I LOVED this cartoon. And I think "You Can't Do That On Television" was on afterwards.....anyway. Was this a BBC program at one time before it was syndicated. Judging from all of the British monuments, accents, and DM living in, what we in the States call a mailbox :wiseguy: . I think you call it something else.
Does anyone rember this show on Nick? And can I get episodes on either VHS or DVD anywhere. I could go look on Google I guess, but thought I'd ask here to bring up some old (painful? :wall: :whip: ) memories.

Oh, and we call it a pillar-box!

Elsewhere, I don't know. Amazon.co.uk will probably ship them worldwide, for a price of course.
yes i remember that cartoon, he lived in a postbox with his silly stupid other guy, and always fought the guy with the pet turtle.

Turns out that before he was a TV show or early computer game, he was a comic-strip character (in the 60's)

Dangermouse was excellent. It used to be on Boomerang or Cartoon Network (not sure if it still is I don't have SKY digital anymore).
Wish i was still able to watch it

A pillarbox..that's what they are called. I knew it was called something different in Britian. Just like in Southweseren Wisconsin in the USA they call a drinking fountain a 'bubbler'.....odd cheeseheads.
Yep....Danger Mouse and his sidekick Penfold. Always fighting against Silas Greenback and his lackey Stilleto.
I just may have to ask for DVD's for Christmas.

I love Europe. Because that's where all the history comes from.

Wish i was still able to watch it"I guessed, that you would guess, that I would guess, that you would guess..." -- DM to Baron Greenback, a classic scene, went on for about 20 repetitions in the end, before DM finally outguesses the evil Baron.
David Jason & Terry Scott, the two main voices, had a great rivalry going between them. They didn't exactly hate each other, but there was no love lost between them. Explains much of the voice acting between DM and Penfold if you ask me. There was always an edge to it.
~ I just found this site (http://www.dangermouse.org/what.html). Plays the theme. Takes me back many a year...

I used to have the theme set as my phone's ringtone.
I just may have to ask for DVD's for Christmas.
